About Journal’s Edge

My name is Rafael and I love journaling. I worked for several years as a counselor, where I witnessed the impact of writing down one’s thoughts. Beyond seeing this impact on others, I have personally experienced the benefits of journaling with varying frequency for well over 10 years. This practice has helped me grow and understand my faults and strengths. It has guided me through life’s highs and lows, and I couldn’t be more excited about the prospect of others benefiting from this practice and moving forward in their journeys.

I strongly believe that everyone has the capacity to grow, and sometimes a little journaling can help the process along. Having this mirror is one of the most easily accessible forms of self-help, and I believe everyone can benefit from it. This is why I started Journals Edge. I want everyone to have the opportunity to share in these benefits. It is a powerful habit, and I hope that Journals Edge can help promote this practice to everyone.

While I understand, especially having been a counselor myself, that journaling is not the solution to all of life’s problems, I believe that simple things like self-awareness, self-reflection, and gratitude can certainly help grease the wheels of personal growth.┬áJournaling will not solve all your problems, but it will help empower you to see more of yourself and help you build a path that can assist you in your day-to-day life and serve as a tool for mental health wellness, with or without a counselor.
